A half-day of exploration and discoveries to introduce groups of students to the biodiversity around us and the challenges it faces. The group plays games, observes nature, handles objects, and engages in discussion and interpretation to learn.

Reservations
To make a group reservation, contact Isabelle Denis, head of activities, at 819 222-5665 ext. 4 or at [email protected]. We recommend booking several months in advance. You do not need to make a deposit.
The minimum number of participants is 15 people. A deal is offered on every 10 participants.

Arthropods
Observe and handle different species of arthropods. Learn to distinguish an insect from an arachnid or a shelfish.

Forest rally
Sharpen your observation skills in the forest by looking for wooden animals, and work in teams to win this fun game.

Outdoor activity
Journey to the bottom of the St. Lawrence and H20 Room
Dive into the waters of the river in the Journey to the Bottom of the St. Lawrence multimedia experience to discover the phenomenon of the tides, the geography of the river and the importance of aquatic species. End the tour in the H2O Room to observe and identify the fish and turtle species of Quebec.

Discover and learn to tell the difference between an herbivore (white-tailed deer) and a carnivore (red fox).

The return of the giants of prehistory
Leap back in time to discover the earliest humans, their way of life, and the domestication of fire. Explore the world of extinct giant mammals like the woolly mammoth and the smilodon, and finish your journey through time with dinosaurs and fossils. Observe and handle replicas.

Discover and observe the lives and habits of different species of urban fauna, including mammals, birds of prey, and reptiles and amphibians in Quebec. Observe and identify species like raccoons, the striped skunk, the groundhog, the great horned owl, the red-tailed hawk, the American bullfrog, the salamander, and more.
