On the Road
Description
This is a program that travels to your institution so you can discover the brilliance of animals and nature. Many themes are available.
Duration: 60 minutes
Equipment brought by the museum: live animals, taxidermied animals, reproductions, figurines, card games, colour-in pictures, skulls, feathers, shed skins, etc.
Equipment needed for some activities: tables, trash can, computer and projector.

The Museum will travel up to 50 km at a rate of $0.50/km. Above this distance, additional fees apply.
The maximum number of participants is usually 35 people. Additional fees may apply beyond this number.

Dinosaurs and company
SNEAK PEAK!
Discover dinosaurs with figurines, replicas, and pictures, along with extinct mammals like the mammoth, the smilodon, and more. Mammoth and T. Rex teeth, a velociraptor skull, emu feet, and reptiles are waiting for you to discover, a colouring activity will be offered at the end of the workshop.
Feathers and beaks
On different species of birds: chicken feet, osprey feet, feathers, skulls, etc. The difference between a duck and a bird of prey! Mounted specimens of animals like the snowy owl, the rough-legged hawk, and camouflage experts like the ruffed grouse!
Furs and paws
On the mammals of Quebec and abroad, identify furs and paw prints, and discover how well fur can insulate and camouflage!
Nature engineering – the art of camouflage!
SNEAK PEAK!
Discover how reptiles, birds, mammals, and fish hide in their environment. What is “mimicry”? As part of the exhibit, tarantula, cockroach, frog, toad, and friends will show you some camouflage techniques.
Smooth skin and scaly skin
On the reptiles and amphibians of Quebec, a demonstration with living specimens like the wood turtle and the painted turtle, the garter snake, the toad, and the grey treefrog.
