Rescues of all kinds, the animals presented in this exhibition can only be seen on guided tours, in order to moderate their contact with humans. The aim of the visit is to make participants aware of their reality and habits in the wild.
The Urban Wildlife exhibition lets you discover the wild animals of Quebec that cohabit with us in both rural and urban areas.
Start your visit with small mammals. Marmots, skunks, raccoons, birds of prey and many more are waiting to meet you and talk about their history.
Finish your tour with a visit to our “big” stars. At the edge of the forest, Ti-Lou the deer and Whisper and Astride the foxes also have their share of misadventures to share.
* This entirely outdoor tour is suitable for adults and children of all ages.
* Make sure you’re equipped for the weather (umbrella, raincoat, mosquito repellent if necessary).
* The mammals and birds of prey sector is in winter from November to May. No visitors are allowed during this resting period.
Curious about our captive animals?
We would like to assure you that our staff would be happy to hear your comments about our animals! All our facilities are monitored by wildlife agents, MAPAQ, and a veterinarian multiple times per year.
All our animals have their own stories, and their health is closely monitored. We would love to tell you about them, so feel free to communicate with us on site, by phone at 819 222-5665 or by email at [email protected] with any questions you may have.
Remember that we are a scientific museum with a mission to raise awareness and convserve Quebec’s natural heritage.
