Discover “Moches: when ugliness becomes a masterpiece”, produced by the Musée du Fjord in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.
Slimy, shiny, wrinkled or downright ugly: although nature hasn’t spoiled them, some species attract our curiosity. To question their appearance is to learn to look at them differently, and to understand their uniqueness.
The exhibition explains how our relationship with “ugly animals” has evolved, and what historical and cultural factors might be behind the disdain and phobia towards certain species. Humor and science coexist in this original exhibition!
The exhibition will run until June 2026, after which it will be replaced by a new temporary exhibition.
